Hadn't been here in almost a year as was traveling but went with friends this week and it's just as wonderful as I remember!!! Excellent food and very prompt service without rushing us!!! It's got a lovely atmosphere and I leach table has plenty of space so you can carry on a relaxed conversation!! Don't miss the typical Greek fare, the fresh fish and save room for dessert!! All of us were very pleased and are making plans for a return visit soon!!

Used to be my favorite. Food is still good, but I dislike their new cheap menus. My friend said her lamb was excellent. Loved the grilled octopus, saganaki, taramsolta and eggplant dips.

Wonderful food and service. One of my favorite . There was a group of us from Sheridan home for senior's . We loved it and will be back soon.

Let me just start by saying this place is delicious! I came with another person and we ordered 2 appetizers( the 3 dolmades and the grilled calamari) and shared a plate of the Friday specials pork gyro. The food was superb. We both love greek food but we both thought this is some of the best that we have had. The egg sauce with lemon Wow! The server was very nice and helpful. Loved the ambiance, great for a casual date or for a family outing. The food is a lot. My party of 2 was pretty full by the end of our dinner, we both ate plenty. This place is lovely. Definitely coming back if ever in the area.

One of the best Greek restaurants I have been to in ages. After the huge disappointed experience I had at Athena restaurant, Greek Islands made it all better. I once fell in love with Greek food. The place itself is very clean, very nice decorated, it makes you feel like you're actually eating at a Greek restaurant in Greece. The ambience is casual and family friendly. The staff is very nice and very attentive. Our server Dani was good but he could had been better. He looked annoyed at us for not knowing what we wanted. But the food made it all better. We started with the grilled octopus and other apps. Everything was very delicious. Well seasoned and the portions were moderate at best. You get free bread with your meal. My husband and I decided to share the rack of lamb. We weren't disappointed we loved it so much we are going back soon to eat it again. Highly recommend this place. I will be back soon!

Today was a chicken gyros Day.. which is always delicious Today we added Greek French fries. oregano, feta, house dressing. Delish..... It is not on the menu but I do appreciate them fulfilling my special request. Thank you...

Came right at open at 11:00 and sat down. There were a few others seated but love not having to wait. Inside was cuter than I pictured. I assumed it was a family style all American Greek place. That's what I get for not looking. Menu is not inexpensive so be prepared to pay more. They brought out some nice Italian bread while we waited. Waiters quick to refill water and take order. Food took the amount of time o would hope, just right. Not too much not too little. Once it came out I realized I should have added a side. Although my piece of salmon was large. It was cooked so perfectly. My family got the chicken gyros and they loved them. This would be a nice place to come at night. Pretty fireplace and nice decor.

If you're looking for a spot that makes you feel at home the second you walk in, has excellent service and delicious high quality Greek food - Greek Islands is it!! They do not take reservations however this place is massive so no need to expect a very long wait time during the week. I was here with a group of 5 on a weekday around 630pm and was given a 20 min wait time. Within 3 mins we were seated lol. We had Panayi as our server and he was friendly, attentive and truly made us feel at home. Our drinks, apps, mains and dessert orders were taken/ timed out very well. No awkward waits in between courses and he checked in the perfect amount. He is extremely friendly and has great energy - made us want to pull another chair up to join us! Such a great person to have in the restaurant industry. I'd request to be in his area for the next time. I've been coming here for 10+ years and my go tos are the calamari and saganaki to start, broiled salmon or lamb chops for my main and the Greek traditional cake for dessert. Flavorful, cooked to perfection and are my favorite authentic Greek items. This is a very traditional Greek establishment with blue and white decor throughout. Lots of space and can easily seat over 175+ people. I've consistently experienced 5 stars when dining in at Greek Islands. It's the place to be for a group outing or date night.

Great as always! We arrive much earlier than the rest of our party so we hung out in the bar area. Dino the bartender took great care of us. He seemed to know a lot of the bar customers too. Regulars I guess. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. Both great and inexpensive. An hour later, the rest of our party arrived. More drinks while we waited for a table in Pete's area. We finally got seated and Pete and the rest of the team took such good care of us. We ordered some appetizers including a couple orders of Saganaki. Opa! Dinner orders were taken and we enjoyed each other's company until dinner was served. It all came out of the kitchen at the same time and was nice and hot. I had the lamb chops - one of my favorites here. My wife had a combo of Gyro and Pastichio. Others had the Swordfish, Pastichio, Stuffed Peppers, Leg of Lamb Slices, and some Shrimp dish covered in a red sauce. Other than the Stuffed Peppers, everyone really enjoyed their meals. The family member with the Stuffed Peppers took all the leftover sauce from the other family member that had the sauce covered shrimp and she said it really helped her peppers :) We've been going to the downtown location for many, many years and the Lombard location for maybe 25 years, but did you know know this location has been here for 40 years? Make great food, price it nice and top it off with great staff. A winning combination. Thanks again Greek Islands!
